No Excuse — Running the Race of Christian Character

In this episode, we take an honest look at Christian service, Christian education, and the spiritual priorities that are being lost in our generation.

Today, we have more tools, more resources, more materials, and more opportunities for spiritual growth than ever before. From study guides and apps to online preaching, commentaries, and teaching tools — we are truly without excuse. And yet, stunningly, many of these helps are being pushed aside and replaced with worldly, carnal substitutes.

Sports overshadow Scripture.
 Activities crowd out devotion.
 Fun replaces formation.
 Fashion outranks holiness.
And Christian character is dismissed as “boring.”

What happened to the admonition of Psalm 1?
“Walk not in the counsel of the ungodly.”

Instead of walking in truth, many are walking in trends.
Instead of hungering for Scripture, many hunger for social approval.
Instead of shaping hearts for Christ, we shape schedules around entertainment.

In this episode, we explore:
 • The drift in Christian education and youth culture
 • How spiritual tools are being traded for worldly distractions
 • Why godliness and holiness must return to the center
 • The urgent call to cultivate serious Christian character
 • The Scriptural reminder to reject ungodly counsel and delight in the law of the Lord

This is a call back to focus.
 A call back to holiness.
A call back to prioritizing what God prioritizes.

Let’s get back to the Book.
Let’s run the race with purpose.
Let’s raise a generation that knows, loves, and lives the Word of God.
